This was a trip that I was really looking forward to. I had visited Antigua only on a cruise ship before and liked what I saw. I flew out from London Gatwick with Virgin and was really surprised that the flight only took us 7 hours and 50 minutes. Travelling with Virgin, so checked in on-line the day before the flight which also meant that I got to pick the seats, it felt good knowing I had printed off our boarding passes, another task done, so excited now going on holiday with the family in less than 24 hours…..

I went last year to Barbados with the tourist board got to look round lots of different hotels which made picking where to go for my holiday nice and easy 2 adults and 1 child age 16 (name’s Summer). We were going to the Almond Beach Village; I liked the feel of this hotel when I visited it with the Tourist Board last year.

On the 4th November 2009, I took a short domestic flight from Manchester airport to London Gatwick, I was very nervous but looking forward to what the next 5 days had in store!

After checking in I met with the other travel agents. The flight with Virgin Atlantic lasted approximately 8 hours and 45 minutes but it flew by as I enjoyed watching the latest films on demand. Before I knew it we had arrived in beautiful Barbados! This was my first time to the island. continue reading…
