Barbados Fam Trip

Having arrived at London Gatwick in the very early hours of the morning and meeting my travel companions, I was ecstatic to find out that I had been upgraded to “club class”  When we had boarded the aeroplane we were shown to our seats and greeted with glass of champagne.

The next 8 hours 35minutes flew by. The staff and service, not to mention the extra space on the aircraft were second to none and I would definitely recommend an upgrade.

Arriving at Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados the weather could not have been more perfect. We travelled 35minutes by coach to the Tamarind Cove situated on the west coast.  The Tamarind Cove has an inviting Caribbean charm as soon as you enter and the pristine beach with crystal clear waters was to die for. continue reading…

My Barbados Experience

We checked in at Gatwick’s North Terminal for our flight to Barbados. Needless to say, I was excited at having been upgraded to British Airways’ Club World. My Club World experience started smoothly, no check-in queues, cases tagged and dispatched within minutes and then directed to the executive lounge to relax before the flight. continue reading…

Jamaica Tourist Board Fam Trip

After a fantastic flight with British Airways where we were lucky enough to be upgraded to Business Class we arrived well rested into Kingston, Jamaica.

Any preconceptions that we had about Kingston were soon dissipated on checking into the Courtleigh Hotel & Suites, a traditional hotel with wonderfully appointed rooms, staff and fantastic food.

Kingston is truly the heart of Jamaica; it has a lively Nightlife with new clubs springing up everywhere. There is also the opportunity to visit the Appleton’s Estate for a Rum or two or a short drive into the mountains you can visit the Infamous Blue mountain Coffee plantation, all on Kingston’s doorstep. continue reading…

St Lucia Fam Trip 2009

Hotel & Room

We stayed in a Deluxe Room which had two sizeable double beds. It was evident the room had been recently been refurbished and the use of bright colours helped create a fine, bright ambiance. The modern air conditioning unit had it’s own remote control which enabled us to set the room temperature to that which most suited us.
The amenities were typical of a 5* property and included satellite tv, CD/DVD player, i-pod docking station, coffee maker hairdryer etc. There we even bathrobes & slippers ! Room service is provided 24 hours per day
The mini-bar, which was re-stocked on a regular basis, contained beers, soft drinks and bottled water.
My wife was very pleased to find a hairdryer in the room. Even though she had taken her own with her, the low voltage in Dominican Republic meant it would not work to it’s full potential.
