Accommodation

During our stay at Excellence Punta Cana, we were accommodated in a Junior Suite, which was extremely spacious, even with two double beds! The rooms had a very traditional Caribbean feel with the dark wood on the roof, and pale wood on the furniture around the room. There was also plenty of storage space around the room with a very good size wardrobe. I would definitely say the rooms was of a 5* standard, especially with the double Jacuzzi which made it feel very luxurious. continue reading…

This was our first holiday to Mexico, we stayed on the Riviera Maya which we found was an ideal place to relax with direct access to the beach which stretches for miles. The hotel is only a 25 min taxi into Cancun where you can find all the nightlife and shopping malls.

Arrival

On our arrival we were greeted with a glass of champagne and taken to the Excellence Club lounge to check in. The staff were very proffesional, taking our luggage and showing us the location and facilities the hotel had to offer. continue reading…

The rooms were superb, very modern, and loved the octagonal shape, it was unusual but in a good way! I was lucky enough to be located in a preferred club ocean view with outside Jacuzzi, and it was of a very good size,  and I was very impressed. The whole St Lucia experience started for us the day before we were due to fly out from Gatwick. We had been told that British Airways have a facility where you can check-in online 24hours before your flight is due to depart (actually 24 hours and not just the day before), so my first challenge even before we left Stoke for the airport was (once I’d got our passports and confirmation number) to check-in, pre-book our seats and print our boarding card so we could just drop our bags at the check-in desk at Gatwick the following morning. continue reading…
