We decided to stay over night at a hotel not far from the airport so the Monday would not be too much of a long day. It was a very nice start to the holiday as we didn’t have to rush or be stressed out on the Monday morning and we avoided an early start as we had already checked in online.
I was surprised at how smooth everything went; we took the car to be parked, then got a transfer to the airport where we dropped off our bags. Now we were all ready to explore the duty free shopping within an hour of parking the car. This was great as I love Gatwick, there’s loads of shops to wander around. continue reading…
Jamaica Fam Trip
On Saturday 9th October 2010 I left Birmingham & made my way to London Gatwick where I meet the rest of the group I was travelling with. When we checked in we were upgraded to world traveller plus which was a nice start to the trip, we were flying with British Airways. On the flight there are only five rows of 2 4 2 so not many in that part of the cabin.
On arrival it didn’t take long to collect our luggage, we were met by Neil one of Amstar rep to take us to the hotel. It took about half hour & on the way he was telling us about the resort & what there is to do as well as pointing out some of the local landmarks.
First hotel Secrets St James, there was just enough time to get checked in & get a quick change before our hosted dinner at Bordeaux (the French restaurant). We was able to pick from the menu which was nice because we could all have different options & see a variety of food served instead of it being a set menu. The food was lovely. continue reading…
