Karisma Awards 2010
What can I say? It’s work! I was invited by my Director to represent our company at the Karisma Awards 2010 in Mexico which took place at their El Dorado Royale property in Mexico’s Riviera Maya.
With more than a mile of sandy beach and all the luxuries you can dream of, combined with an emphasis on personal attention to your every whim, this was an ideal opportunity for me to experience a luxury 5* Adults Only all inclusive holiday and at the same time, to collect our award.
Needless to say, I said yes, I WILL go! continue reading…
Barbados Holiday
Travelling with Virgin, so checked in on-line the day before the flight which also meant that I got to pick the seats, it felt good knowing I had printed off our boarding passes, another task done, so excited now going on holiday with the family in less than 24 hours…..
I went last year to Barbados with the tourist board got to look round lots of different hotels which made picking where to go for my holiday nice and easy 2 adults and 1 child age 16 (name’s Summer). We were going to the Almond Beach Village; I liked the feel of this hotel when I visited it with the Tourist Board last year.
Antigua Fam Trip 2009
I am a beach lover and love this place 365 beaches and all are stunning with some fabulous reefs for snorkelling or diving.
In my opinion the best 4 beaches are -
- Half Moon Bay
- Dickenson Bay
- Long Bay
- Pigeon Point
Antigua is a relaxed intimate caribbean island where the weather remains warm and dry for most of the year and ’beach life and watersports’ is what it’s all about. Yachting and sailing facilities are fabulous and Antigua hosts many international yachting events and regattas throughout the year. We hired a ‘dingy’ for the day and sought out a secluded cove to achor for a wonderful day of peace and quiet. continue reading…
My Barbados Experience
We checked in at Gatwick’s North Terminal for our flight to Barbados. Needless to say, I was excited at having been upgraded to British Airways’ Club World. My Club World experience started smoothly, no check-in queues, cases tagged and dispatched within minutes and then directed to the executive lounge to relax before the flight. continue reading…
St Lucia Fam Trip 2009
Hotel & Room
We stayed in a Deluxe Room which had two sizeable double beds. It was evident the room had been recently been refurbished and the use of bright colours helped create a fine, bright ambiance. The modern air conditioning unit had it’s own remote control which enabled us to set the room temperature to that which most suited us.
The amenities were typical of a 5* property and included satellite tv, CD/DVD player, i-pod docking station, coffee maker hairdryer etc. There we even bathrobes & slippers ! Room service is provided 24 hours per day
The mini-bar, which was re-stocked on a regular basis, contained beers, soft drinks and bottled water.
My wife was very pleased to find a hairdryer in the room. Even though she had taken her own with her, the low voltage in Dominican Republic meant it would not work to it’s full potential.
