Day 1 Sun London/Maldives

Depart on your Monarch Airlines flight from Gatwick

Day 2 Mon Male/Cruise (Kurumba)

Arrive Male’ and transfer 20 minutes to the Atoll Explorer, your floating home for the next seven nights. NB Anyone who arrives on earlier flights may be taken to Kurumba first, before boarding Atoll lunchtime.

 

 

Day 3 Tue Cruise (Kurumba/Laguna)

An early departure for the island of Laguna Maldives or similar. Time to relax on the sundeck, go ashore to Laguna to relax on the beach or by the pool, or enjoy a snorkelling expedition. Evening underwater marine slide show.

Day 4 Wed Cruise (Laguna/Kuramathi/Rasdhoo)

Sail to Kuramathi crossing the Ari channel. The islands of the Ari Atoll gradually appear on the horizon. Afternoon visit to Rasdhoo, a local fishing village for shopping. This evening enjoy a night fishing excursion.

Day 5 Thu Cruise (Kuramathi/Madivaru)

Visit Madivaru, a desert island for snorkelling or windsurfing. Afternoon visit to Mathiveri, a local fishing village. In the evening be entertained by Bodu Beru – local dancing on board the ship.

 

 

Day 6 Fri Cruise (Madivaru/Dhiggiri)

Visit the island of Ali Koi Rah, then depart for the beautiful island of Dhiggiri for snorkelling, swimming and a picnic lunch. In the evening enjoy a beach barbecue at Dhiggiri, against the flickering flames of a wood fire.

 

 

Day 7 Sat Cruise (Dhiggiri)

Snorkel, dive or sunbathe off the tranquil desert island of Dhiggiri all day with a picnic lunch. This evening the captain officially ‘hosts’ dinner.

Day 8 Sun Cruise (Dhiggiri/Kurumba/Male)

In the afternoon, return across the Ari Channel to Kurumba and then on to the capital island of Male’, for shopping and sightseeing. A live band will play on board the ship for the evening

Day 9 Mon Male/London

Disembark the Atoll Explorer for your Monarch Airlines flight arriving Gatwick later the same day or extend your stay on the beautiful resort of Kuramathi Village Maldives or chosen hotel, for seven nights.

 

 

Day 1 Sun London/Maldives

Day 2 Mon Male/Cruise (Kurumba)

Arrive Male’ and transfer about 20 minutes to the Atoll Explorer for lunch.

Day 3 Tue Cruise (Kurumba/Maadhoo)

Visit Maadhoo, a desert island for snorkelling or windsurfing and in the evening enjoy a slide show.

Day 4 Wed Cruise (Maadhoo/Theluveligaa)

Sail to the deserted island of Theluveligaa for swimming or snorkelling and picnic lunch on this lovely island. In the evening try your hand at night fishing;

 

 

Day 5 Thu Cruise (Theluveligaa / Rai Dhigga)

Sail to the tranquil deserted island of Rai Dhigga. Snorkel, dive or sunbathe from this beautiful island. In the evening enjoy a beach barbecue.

Day 6 Fri Cruise (Rai Dhigga/Huruvelhi/Fenfushi)

Cruise to the deserted island of Huruvelhi for snorkelling, swimming or windsurfing. In the evening enjoy entertainment by Bodu Beru – traditional dancing to drums. Afternoon visit to local village island Dhiddoo for some shopping.

 

 

Day 7 Sat Cruise (Fenfushi/Ariadhoo)

Sail to Ariadhoo for a day of swimming, snorkelling or diving and a picnic lunch. The Captain also hosts dinner this evening.

Day 8 Sun Cruise (Araidhoo/Kurumba/Male)

Sail in the morning across the Channel to Kurumba. Enjoy a visit to Male’, the capital, for sightseeing and shopping. A live band will play on board this evening.

 

 

Day 9 Mon Maldives/Gatwick

Disembark the Atoll Explorer for your Monarch Airlines flight arriving Gatwick later the same day or extend your stay on the beautiful resort of Kuramathi Village Maldives or chosen hotel, for seven nights.
